29th of December the nominations for prestigious Argentinean movie awards Los Condor 2008 were announced. Natalia Oreiro is nominated for an award the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role of Marcia in movie Las Vidas Posibles.. This movie gained also four more nominations, which are the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role – Ana Celentano, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role – Germán Palacios or the Best original script.

18.11.2008 - The presentation of the 1st episode of Amanda O
After presentation at Mipcom in Cannes, Dori Media Group presented first episode of the long-awaited "Amanda O", which returns to the screen Natalia Oreiro and Luciano Castro again. A plot tells a story of everyday's life of diva, who has more then two billion fans all over the world. Nine minutes long episode should be available every day on the website Novebox.com. For Argentinean market confirmed DMG a transfer via mobile phone and on television América, where will be broadcasted first episode yesterday at 20:15.

We haven't known each other before, and we haven't worked together too. But there is a chemistry between Amanda O and Dante. (they are joking of their relationship). Naty was mistaken in interview, she thought that Amanda is going to be broadcasted on Canal 13, so a moderator correct her that it will be on America Tv and then everyone was laughting. 31.10.2008 - Filming of soap opera "Alquien que me quiera" was postponed
Canal 13 confirmed a postponement of the beginning of filming soap opera Alquien que me quiera (Someone who loves me), with Natalia Oreiro in main role.
An actress and producer Adrian Suár agreed with a postponement of the date from the first week of January to temporary date: between March and May 2009. Oreiro agreed with a postponements, because as she said, she needs to take vacations since the late November.

21.10.2008 - Música en espera and workshop of Las Oreiro
Filming of "Música en espera" is finished! On Monday afternoon, a team leaded by Hernán Goldrid, finished filming of movie "Music in expectation". The last minutes of work held in clinic Los Aarcos, in neighbourhood of Palermo. There were filmed scenes of birth of Natalia's baby, the main character of the movie. "I won't say a sex of my baby to maintain tension, but the name is similar to theme," said an actress.
Film will be in Argentinean cinemas in the beginning of the next year.
A workshop of Natalia Oreiro was robbed!
Thieves got to the workshop where are made clothes by Las Oreiro brand. They stole all from the new collection. Sum is about 230 thousands pesos. This news appeared several hours before criminalists had got into workshop of firm, owns by Natalia and her sister Adriana.
This news isn't confirmed by Natalia or Adriana yet. The reality suggests that thieves stole a large quantity of goods from the production.

For 12 days is going a photographer Aleandro Lopez to take photos of 12 actresses like Nancy Duplá, María Eugenia Tobal, Carla Peterson, Araceli González, Romina Gaetani, Celeste Cid, Julieta Díaz, Malena Solda and Natalia Oreiro, for calendar FOE 2009, for campaign for the prevention of breast cancer.
Actresses will be photographed in style of Hollywood divas and benefits from the callendar will go to Foundation Oncológica Encuentro. An actress Nancy Duplá was make-uped and combed hours so as to she would look like a Hollywood star.

26.8.2008 - Filming of Música en Espera begun!
Yesterday started filming of new romantic comedy Música en Espera with Naty in leading role. Yesterday there was also first press conference for the movie where main actors together with director Hernán Goldfried were present. The movie will be filmed in next eight weeks in Buenos Aires and the premiere is planned for first quarter of year 2009.
Natalia plays Paula who is an assistant to head of bank and that is in late state of pregnancy. Her mother (Norma Aleandro) is coming from Spain to be with her daughter when she gives birth and also she wants to meet father of the child. The problem is that Paula does not have any partner and father. When Ezequiel (Diego Peretti) comes to bank because he is a composer who got into money crisis after his inspiration has left him, Paula uses the situation and introduces Ezequiel to her mother as a father of her child…

25.8.2008 - Confirmed! Natalia will be in Freedom for Joe!
Natalia will play a character in her first English speaking movie of her career! It was confirmed today by Lee Burns!

Thanks for your interest in Natalia and Freedom for Joe. My apologies on the Awareness Website. The website is undergoing some changes, but should be back up and functional by the end of this week.
In answer to your main question, yes Natalia is on board to play the role of Rachel de los Rios, the love interest of the title character, Joe Gilmore, which I will be playing. The other producers, the director and myself are all very excited to have Natalia in the movie, and Natalia is also very excited to play this English speaking role and to be in this movie. We have had many woderful conversations since she read the script and are anxious to begin working together.
We are expecting to add star American actors to more of the cast and to begin shooting this fall.
With our lead producer being John Schofield, we know we will have a great movie. If you have not already, check out John's credits on imdb, they are stellar.

Natalia said in the interview for Radio 100 that in few coming weeks she will begin filming of new movie called Música en Espera alongside with Norma Aleandro, playing her mother, and Diego Peretti. In the movie Natalia will portray a pregnant woman. „I already tried a fake belly and I loved it!“ she said but she added immediately: „But I do not desire to have child on my own right now.“ Natalia changed her hair color for the movie to dark brown. Natalia also said that she works on her new CD and is producing it together with Ricardo, and she added that she is making new collection for Las Oreiro and is planning another movie. She also said that she is too busy to come back on TV in new telenovela for Canal 13. In the end she said that now she is busy with filming Amanda O.
Because of this project, her new album is delayed. "I am going to record the musical curtain of Amanda O, but I am not going to include it in my disc because it doesn’t have the same style,“ she said.
“We are going to present with my sister the new collection of Las Oreiro on 15 of September. It will be a delicious tea in the garden of the Mansion of the Four Seasons".
Yesterday, 23rd of July 2008, Natalia finally signed exclusive contract with company Dori Media to film long awaited telenovela Amanda O. Amanda O is first worldwide telenovela that will be broadcasted daily on the internet and the company hopes in huge interest of telenovela fans all around the world. The filming will start in few days.
Natalia signed the contract in her studio at her house in Palermo. „I am very happy that I will be working with Dori Media again since our last project Sos Mi Vida was a big success. I think that Amanda O will be a big hit!“

Natalia will be a presenter of yearly charity concert Un Sol Para Los Chicos that will take place on August 16th 2008 and will be broadcasted live by Canal 13 with the direction of Adrian Suar. Another actor, Miguel Angel Rodriguez, will be also a presenter of the event together with Naty.

20.7.2008 - Natalia is in exotic Pampa
Natalia Oreiro traveled in the end of the week to Argentinean province La Pampa where in the surroundings of National Park El Leoncito will be filming commercial for new upcoming product of La Serenísima that should enter Argentinean market any time soon. According to the information from newspaper Diario de Cuyo Natalia will spend whole weekend there and will be enjoying the beauty of the nature.
Natalia: God’s child!
Argentinean informative website Clarín announced today that Adrián Suar and Natalia Oreiro have agreed on working together again for new telenovela in 2009 that would be broadcasted on Canal 13 at 21 o’clock. The working title of telenovela is Alguien que me quiera (Someone who loves me) and Natalia will play naughty nun living in the monastery. There is not much information about the content, just that the nun will have to participate in choir and will fall in love with its conductor. Telenovela will be a comedy musical. According to Clarín Natalia’s partner will be Luciano Castro who is also the one to play with her in cybernovela Amanda O. Nothing is for sure yet; there are negotiations about the whole situation and working conditions. Also the filming depends on Natalia’s other movie project planned for 2009. But as we already know, it would not be the first time when Natalia would move her movie project away. She already did it to participate in Sos mi vida in 2005.

Natalia still continues with filming TV program Recurso Natural broadcasted on Canal 7 but she already has new project plans. Soon filming of internet soap opera called Amanda O will start with co-star Luciano Castro. In August there is a plan for filming new comedy movie called Música en espera where Naty will star together with famous Norma Aleandro and also with Diego Peretti. Script was written by Patricio Vega and the movie will be directed by Hernán Goldfrid.

6.7.2008 - Natalia Oreiro is promoting reading and writing for children
Natalia, Gaston Pauls and Benjamin Vicuòa are working together for Uruguayan, Argentinean and Chilean children in project called
„Dar la palabra“
„Dar la palabra“ is a project which tries to promote reading and writing for children. This project already took place in Argentina few years ago and was represented by Gaston Pauls. However, this year the project was extended to Uruguay and Chile. For this reason Natalia Oreiro and Chilean Benjamin Vicuòa joined this solidary project.
Producent of the project Rosstoc said about the project: „Dar la palabra“ is about children who can send us their stories based on their dreams and knowledge. Chosen stories will be published by company Editorial Planeta and the profit from the book will go to Unicef which also promotes children education.
These three talented actors shoot short interviews about their own dreams with the aims to promote the project. The dreams were chosen to help children be creative and think. It also shows reality that sometimes the dreams can help children in difficult life situations.
This is another great gesture from Natalia who shows that even something as easy as little help can change a lot in the world we are living in.
Project for year of 2009
Adrián Suar talked with Natalia Oreiro about her comeback to TV with the lead of Pol-ka next year. It should be new daily program broadcasted on Canal 13 at 21 o’clock that should show Natalia’s talent for comedy. Natalia is apparently very happy about her new role of the ‚nun‘.
Funny and fresh ‚nun‘ lives between walls of the monastery and the story should be a comedy with songs and choreography.
„It all depends if I will sign up for two movies I am negotiating. One is comedy with Norma Aleandro and Diego Peretti and the other one is drama,“ said Natalia and it looks like she would like to continue in success of ‚Sos mi vida‘.

Last and this year at Martín Fierro Awards Natalia took breath away to many when she walked the red carpet which is so know in Hollywood. Last year she had fabulous dress from John Galliano and this year she was awarded for her dress by Oscar de la Renta. Only few people probably noticed that last year the same dress was worn by Hollywood diva Penelope Cruz. She had the dress while being present at „Queen Sophie“ awards in New York in November. It looks like the dress was just made for a Latin girl with nice typical body.

3.7.2008 - Martin Fierro 2008
Yesterday one of the most prestigious celebrations took place in Argentina, Martín Fierro Awards for year 2007. Natalia came in beautiful blue dress from designer Oscar de la Renta which she bought in New York. Natalia was nominated as the best comedian actress but she withdrew the nomination. She said: „I decided to withdraw because I already won the award last year and I do not think it is good to be nominated for the same role twice. Martín Fierro is not only about awards, it is celebration of all people working for TV.“ Natalia asked organizers if she could hand in the award to the best actress. They did not refuse and Natalia announced Carla Peterson as the best comedian actress for her role in Lalola. But this was not the end of the evening. There was a big surprise for Natalia – she won award for being the most elegant woman of the night. „Thank you very much jury for the award. I was in New York and I saw the dress in the shopping window, I liked it very much. I love dresses from Oscar de la Renta and his colors.“ Natalia got as an award golden ring with brilliants! On Thursday (19/06) morning was Natalia at birthday party of her friend Monica Ayos (Turca from Sos mi vida) in club Belgrano.
Naty's preparing for her role in internet soap opera "Amanda O". She will play a lead role of selfish star of cinema with Luciano Castro (LaLola) and filming will start in July and is expected to conclude in September 2008.
It will have 65 nine minutes episodes, to be shown on internet from Monday to Friday.
Programme Recurso Natural, leaded by Natalia for Canal 7, should end next week. But it is popular and people send a lot of emails to Canal 7. So they will probably continue to filming next episodes for several months.
Naty is a little nervous because of her role of a moderator at charity event "Un sol para los chicos", organized by Unicef. It is for the firsttime when Natalia will lead this show, in August in famous Luna Park.
And she should also an event Domingo Amigo, held every year in Uruguay.
A company Dori Media Group proclaimed a contest, in which should people think out a name of domain, where will be broadcasted the internet soap operas. Argentinean television TELEFE will broadcast their own version of program "America's Got Talent", under name "Talento Argentino". To competition can enter anyone.

20.5.2008 - Natalia in Cannes
Last Friday Natalia arrived to France to participate at the international movie festival in Cannes where she was invited to. The purpose of the visit is that Natalia promotes the TV program Recurso Natural. Natalia took part at the official press conference held by Promofilm Company. Natalia is in Cannes with her husband Ricardo. However, later this week Natalia will come back to Buenos Aires so she can prepare new episode of Recurso Natural for Friday on Canal 7.

6.4.2008 - Play "Toco y me voy" and an offer by Susana Gimenéz
Natalia designed costumes for stage play „Toco y me voy“, directed by Natalia’s colleague from movie Cleopatra Norma Aleandro. On Monday 31.3. was Natalia, dressed in style of „Gejsha“, at theate Piccolino, where was the premiere of the play on 4th April.
Argentinean moderator Susana Gimenéz is preparing her new magazine, called simply „Susana“. The first issue will appeared at Argentinean newsstands by the end of May.

20.3.2008 - Natalia Oreiro - a moderator of cycle Recurso Natural
Natalia will be a „face“ of half-hour programme Recurso Natural (Natural resources), starting on Friday at 20pm on Canal 7. Programme will involve participation of researchers from different areas of the national science system. The aim of the cycle is to inform and stimulate people to carry about environment.

25.2.2008 - Naty at festival, movies!
Naty came to Punta de Este to be part of the official screening of the movie Las Vidas Posibles on Friday 22nd of February at 18hs together with the director Sandra Gugliotta. On Saturday Naty took part in the special closing gala ceremony of the Film festival and handed in an award to the best movie of the festival, Brazilian movie Estómago.
According to new information Naty will not star in the movie TC2000 with Pablo Rago, the role was given to Leonora Balcarce. And also according to NatyOreiro.com.ar Naty will not star in the movie Rehén de ilusiones with Lorenzo Quinteros. There is no new information about other movies so far.

20.2.2008 - New film for Naty?
Yesterday informative server Puroshow announced that in March 2008 there will be new Argentinean movie shot and it will be called TC 2000. This movie will be filmed by Pampa Films and the direct is Sebastian Pivotto. The leading male characters are portrayed by Pablo Rago and Tomas Fonzi. Leading female character is still unknown, but there are speculations that either Natalia Oreiro or Leticia Bredice will appear in the movie. The story is about female mechanical engineer with whom the younger motor driver (Fonzi) will fall in love with. But she is in love with older mature driver (Rago). If Natalia will accept the role we will have the chance to see telenovela couple Oreiro-Rago on silver screen.

16.2.2008 - Natalia at Film Festival in Punta Del Este
From 17th of February there is an 11th Film Festival in Punta del Este where there will be a movie of Sandra Gugliotta Las Vidas Posibles presented. 11.2.2008 - Rehén de ilusiones!
From April 2008 Natalia will shoot her new movie called Rehén de ilusiones (Hostage of illusions). Together with Natalia the leading role will be played by Lorenzo Quinteros, the 63 year old Argentinean actor. The movie is about love between writer and much younger woman who is suffering from persecution. The movie director is Eliseo Subiela. Movie will be shot in Buenos Aires and in San Luis. It was also added that the music will be composed by Hollywood composer Emilio Kauderer.

2.2.2008 - "I would like to direct movies"
In this interview with Clarin, her look, always elegant, is much more naif, rustic, childish. Logical: beyond her ductile adaptation to different looks, Natalia Oreiro is dedicated, with her sister Adriana, to design clothes.
They have the store in Old Palermo. "Adriana, that handles the day to day of the business, watch more movies that I. I see what I like; she watch everything ", say Natalia, without leaving the topic.
This year, the labor certainty of Oreiro is that she will play important roles in two films and that she will have a participation in another one. "They are very different characters to each other; great challenges. No. I’m not interesting in to tell the story that all of us know. I’m not interesting in films based on biographies of singers in the cinema, only in the case of La Rosa(with Bette Midler, in a memorable reinterpretation of Janis Joplin). The other day called me a director to make the life of another Argentine singer and I made the same observation to him.
I read that sometimes you would want to write and to direct cinema. You said that perhaps you are going it at 50 years.
It would be a stupidity to mention an age. When I was18 I said that I was not going to work more than the 30 years, the age that I have now. I would like to direct movies: I feel that it has to do with my essence. I love to observe: I prefer the glance before the interpretation. But I don’t know if I am going to direct when I’m 50, perhaps then I’ll be planting tomatoes. I am going it to do it when I have a story to tell.
It is rare to think that Natalia Oreiro, one of the greatest stars of the television (and also of music) still is a cinematographic promise.
It’s that the actress has done few movies, taking care of her roles and collaborating in small characters.
The good thing of her appearances in films like Las Vidas Posibles and La Peli is that they always end up letting us with desire see her more time and in roles in which she can unfold to her pleasure.
It could be a comedy, a drama, a thriller. It doesn’t matter. Nothing seems to be rare to Natalia.
