UN SOL PARA LOS CHICOS (The sun for children)
Un sol para los chicos is an event organized annually by organization Unicef in Buenos Aires. The event is always held in July or August and since 2002 in famous Luna Park. A purpose is to get money and help to children in Argentina. In the event perform famous personalities, singers, actors, actresses and people can donate money with telephone calls.

On July 14th 2003 was Natalia invited to take part of this charity event. She accepted the offer and in Luna Park sang for the children Tu veneno, Cuesta arriba, cuesta abajo and Que digan lo que quieran.


Even if Natalia was busy with filming of a soap opera Sos mi vida, she appeared for a while on 12th August 2006 in the event. She filmed for this issue of the programme, television spots with Facundo Arana, which were broadcasted in Argentinean televisions and they inform people how can they donate.


A year later, on August 11th 2007 was Natalia present there again. She didn't sing, but she donated to Unicef boxing costume of her personage La Monita. That year were collected 4.411.920 Pesos.


In 2008 was offered to Natalia to host this charity event together with an Argentinean actor Miguel Angel Rodriguez. Natalia accepted the challenge and on 16th August was hosting with Miguel over 5 hours of this programme. Natalia was amazing in her role of host of this show, she persuaded people to help children of Unicef and in this long evening, which ended in 01:08 (06:08 in the Czech republic), were collected 5.035.247 Pesos. Naty donated for Unicef a wardrobe full of clothes by Las Oreiro and her husband donated a guitar.


It was already the 4th year in sequence when Natalia attended this show. She was asked to lead this programme again, but for this time only for 2 hours. The whole programme had unusually 8 hours, it used to be 6 hours long in previous years, and there were 4 couples who leaded the show. Andrea Politti and Monchi Balestra, brothers Eugenio and Sebastian “Culini” Weinbaum, María Laura Santillan and Andy Kusnetzoff and Natalia Oreiro with Miguel Angel Rodríguez. On Sunday, 9th August 2009 leaded Natalia the last two hours of the programme and you could see that she was really enjoying it. Her pleas for calls and donations were useful and there was a new record of collected money for Argentinean children - 5 505 476 Pesos.



On Sunday, 8th August 2010 flew Naty from charity event in Uruguay, to be present at Un sol para los chicos. Naty moderated last part of the programme, with Adrian Suar and football players like guests. The programme lasted 12 hours and there were many celebrities, ready to help to collect money for children. Nobody awaited such high amount. Also Natalia wa very surprised from collected 8.161.642 Pesos.


In 2011 was 20th anniversary of this event, but Natalia didn't participated, because she was filming a miniseries in Colombia. But the collected amount was amazing: 12 141 461 Pesos.


In 2012 Natalia did not take part of the show, becuase she was filming movie Wakolda on the south of the country. The amont final was 14 309 929 Pesos.


On Saturday August 10th 2013 was held 22nd edition of Un sol para los chicos. The event started at 13:30 and finished 9 hours later, at 22:30. The hosts of the event was Mariana Fabbiani with Guido Kaczka and after 20 o'clock also Natalia joined. At the end of the show Adrian Suar appeared and played a scene with Natalia as Juan and Aurora from Soalmente vos and they danced together for a song of Ricardo Montaner, famous from soundtrack of the telenovela. In the event participated for example Axel, Abel Pintos or Violetta. Thanks to this event was donated 17 531 826 Pesos for projects of organization Unicef. The program was broadcasted live on TV El Trece.
Natalia presented a reprotage filmed a week earlier from her visit of hospital San Martín, which is a bank of maternal milk, where mums donated their milk. Natalia promoted project "Dar la teta es dar lo mejor de vos".


Organization Unicef organized another edition of charity event Un sol para los chicos to get money for Argentine children and organization's projects on August 16th. Natalia with Guido Kaczka hosted 2 last hours from 9 hours long marathon and thanks to the show there was gathered record-breaking amount 27 152 247 Pesos. In the show there was also presented Natalia's reportage from maternity hospital, which is also a bank of maternal milk.


On Thursday July 16th was Natalia filming a TV spot for a support of charity event Un sol para los chicos. And on August 8th she hosted 1,5 hour of the event, where she discussed serious topic and also enjoyed cumbia with her son Merlín Atahualpa. There were gathered 38 103 579 Pesos.


On August 13th there was held the 25th edition of charity event Un sol para los chicos. Natalia didn't host the show this time, she only presented a report that was filmed two days ago at worskhops of parents who share their experience from children's education.


On Saturday, August 12, Natalia took part of the charity program Un sol para los chicos, which she did not host, just introduced reports about starving and thirst in African Kenya. An incredible 75,347,959 pesos (93.5 million CZK) were donated.


August 11th it was held the next edition of Un sol para los chicos in Buenos Aires, but Natalia did not participate this time. She filmed at least a spot to fight with violence against children.
